I am a freelance writer living in the Southeast. After graduating from college with a degree in Communications, I worked at a couple of small town newspapers as reporter and editor. While working with the Whitley Republican and Corbin! This Week in Southeastern Kentucky, I won the Kentucky Weekly Newspaper Association's top award for feature story.
Also, I was able to work in public relations with a local law enforcment agency, I shared information with broadcast and print media in the form of news releases about events, including the break-up of local prostitution rings, solving murder cases and the department's accreditation.
Later I launched into freelance writing, which I enjoy tremendously. I currently also freelance for a local daily newspaper.
